Welcome to Lauburu Languages

Lauburu Languages is a language school based in Otley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK.

The Spanish classes for adults and children are in person in Otley and/or online via Zoom.

Lauburu languages school is headed by Isabel Ruiz, who comes from Bilbao in the Basque region of Spain. Isabel is a native Spanish teacher who graduated in the UK (PGCE) and also has an MA in Hispanic Studies and a BA (Hons) Business.

The school provides Spanish classes at all levels for individuals and groups both adults and children. It also provides teaching for local primary and secondary schools, and for community education programmes.

Adult classes

​

The programme is tailored to individuals and groups and uses ELE ACTUAL books for adults, to ensure progression through the levels. Also, there is the support of education platforms online, to provide you with a library of materials as well as consolidating focused vocabulary and grammar through games, songs, and videos.

Children's classes

​

The programme for children (from 5yrs to 11yrs old) is focused on children learning through play, songs, stories, and crafts.

​

All the lessons studied are available on an educational platform week by week as well as a library which is provided for the appropriate level.

​

The Active Spanish for children aged 5 to 8  is in person and takes place in the centre of Otley (W.Yorkshire) indoors and outdoors.

These classes  on Saturdays from 10.00 to 11.00 am (Leeds school terms).  The classes are limited to a maximum of 8 children.

​

Spanish classes for children aged 9 to 11 takes place on Wednesdays from 4.30 to 5.30 pm. (Leeds school terms). This class has a maximum of 8 children in person in the centre of Otley and/or online.

 

Private Tuition

​

The individual lessons are totally personalized programmes and therefore the balance of the lessons is devised based on the skills of speaking, reading, listening, and writing according to your needs and interests, including preparation for GCSE and A-levels if required.

These classes are in person in Otley and/or online via Zoom.
